Applicants must be 16-18 years old to be considered and must complete the application process, which includes an application and letter of recommendation from a non-family member.

This in-person residential summer camp will be held from June 29 through July 20, 2024. Current high school Juniors and Seniors are eligible to apply. Applications are currently being accepted through 2/29/24 for the 2024 National Youth Science Camp. New Mexico Academy of Science will select two students to attend all expenses paid, including travel. Apply online for the camp here.
- QCaMP - A week-long (virtual/in-person) camp aimed at the high school level. Participants will gain experience creating circuits on a real-world quantum computer and gain access to resources to bring quantum concepts into the classroom. The only prerequisites for this camp are basic algebra and an interest in learning more!
- 2024 Summer Physics Camp for Young Women - This FREE two-week camp will explore topics related to energy and energy security (reliable, affordable access to all fuels and energy sources) and offers students a chance to boost their understanding of how STEM improves the world through hands-on activities, demonstrations, tours, talks and a multiday hands-on engineering project.
- CDC Disease Detective Camp- For current 10th or 11th graders who will be 16 years old by the start of camp.
The camp is located in Atlanta, GA. The student is responsible for transportation costs to camp/ Atlanta and housing/food during the camp session—ideal for a student with friends or family in the Atlanta area. - Howard University High School Summer Enrichment Programs- Howard is an amazing historically black college offering FREE summer programs in Four growing areas of business: Accounting, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, and Entrepreneurship. The Summer Enrichment Program will be held in person this year. Students will stay on campus for a week-long experience. The cost of the program is free. (Washington DC) NO mention of coverage of transportation...keep this in mind.

FREE 3-week residential program (must pay for transportation to and from Madison) Applications Due March 11th (virtual opportunities available too for rising 9th and 10th graders) - WIE RISE! University of Maryland- A Virtual Summer Research Program for young women in high school (rising 9th-12th graders). Students will explore different engineering disciplines each day of the week as they learn about various engineering research labs at the University of Maryland. Students will learn how to read and write scientific research papers, participate in at-home friendly experiments, and engage with current Maryland Engineering undergraduate students. This program will be conducted virtually and at no cost!
- LLRISE @MIT for rising 12th graders- Lincoln Laboratory Radar Introduction for Student Engineers. A two-week residential research program for rising 12th graders interested in learning how to build small radar systems. Cost is FREE except for transportation to and from MIT. Applications are due by 10PM EST on March 7th
- SPHINX Performance Academy for string musicians ages 11-17 with a focus on cultural diversity- students from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. A FULL SCHOLARSHIP program including room and board (students are responsible for transportation to and from the program. Ground transportation to and from the airport is provided for students flying without an adult or guardian. CU Boulder or Julliard NYC)
